Summary
This position is in support of operational and laboratory testing of Tactical Digital Information Link (TADIL) Systems. Requiring independent verification and validation (IV&V) on TADIL systems during development and operation. As well as test and evaluation (T&E), including: test planning, development of test procedures, test execution, analysis, assessments, and reporting. Position requires day-to-day interaction with engineers, analysts, and developmental agencies for the configuration, installing, upgrading and maintenance of tactical computers, software and mechanical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engineering assistance to configure, modify, and operate TADIL systems on multiple platforms and at remote sites.
- Participate in engineering meetings to include, but not limited to, Build Readiness Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, and Configuration Management Boards.
- Collection and analysis of data.
- Test and Evaluation of TADIL programs to include operating and working on the development of Data Analysis and Reduction Tools (DART), including the Advanced Script Generator (ASG) and the Data Format Translator (DFX).
Desired Qualifications/Requirements
- Individual needs to have a minimum of a DOD SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering, physical science, computer science, or mathematics.
- Familiarity with the functionality, operation, and configuration of national, theater, and organic sensors and communications systems for C4I systems.
- Knowledge and/or experience with C4I systems and operational testing.
- Understanding and Experience with Navy T&E, specifically TADIL interoperability.
- Experience in the operation, maintenance, and the development of software complying with MIL-STD-6016 Tactical Digital Information Link (TADIL) J Message Standard in addition to other standards.
- C4I configuration management (CM).
- Experience in Link 16 installation, maintenance and Integration.
- Experience with Joint Tactical Information Distribution System/Multifunctional Information Distribution System (JTIDS/MIDS) and JREAP (Joint Range Extension Application Protocol).
- Experience with Advanced Combat Direction System (ACDS), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) and Aegis Combat Systems.
- Experience with C2P/CDLMS and Data Link Test Tools (DLTT).
