Summary
This position is in support of operational testing of Global Command and Control System (GCCS) variants. The position requires independent verification and validation (IV&V) on C4I systems during development and modification, as well as test and evaluation (T&E), including: test planning, determination of measures of performance and effectiveness (MOP/MOE), development of test procedures, test execution, analysis, assessments, and reporting. The position requires day-to-day interaction with engineers, analysts, and developmental agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of automated tools to assist in the IV&V process
- Engineering assistance to configure, modify, and operate C4I systems on multiple test local area networks (LANs)
- Participation in engineering meetings to include, but not limited to, Build Readiness Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, and Configuration Management Boards
- Collection and analysis of data
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
- Understanding and Experience with Navy T&E
- Knowledge and/or experience with Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operational testing
- Experience in developing, writing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test procedures and in writing software trouble reports
- Experience with GCCS variants
- Experience working with and coordinating the technical activities of multiple Government and contractor personnel on a common project
- Be a self starter, requiring limited to no supervision, BUT, not be afraid to ask questions and for assistance if uncertain of tasking
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the functionality, operation, and configuration of national, theater, and organic sensors and communications systems for C4I systems
- Experience in Information Assurance (IA)
- Network Administrator
- A Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or other technical field, or 4 years of experience performing Systems Analysis or T&E functions with a strong background in Navy Combat Systems
